Smoking at a young age doubled risk of atherosclerosis

Washington - A recent medical study that smoking at a young age, before the seventh session of the double risk of atherosclerosis in the advanced stages of life.

Research was conducted on about 30 thousand people over three years has been divided into three groups, including the first and second non-smokers, smokers at a young age without the seventh session and the third of smokers in the advanced stages of life.

Follow-up indicated that people who started the habit before the age of seven years, including increased chances of a rate of 7.2 atherosclerosis than those who started later in life or non-smokers.

The terms of the research that 32% of the smokers at a young age to suffer from hardening of the arteries, compared to about 19% of the non-smokers.
